Since that time he has announced rodeos on horseback from Texas to Florida and New York to California. Mathis has worked all over the Southeastern US, the Midwest, and Texas for numerous stock contractors and rodeo committees. His insight into the sport of professional rodeo gives him the ability to involve the crowd and provide his unique style to the most seasoned fan or the first time attendee. | ||||||||||

WOMEN'S BARREL RACING Barrel Racing has always been a favorite at the Pioneer City Rodeo. As always, our Rodeo Committee is paying equal prize money in this event. This helps us to draw top contenders to our Rodeo. This event, while one of the most colorful events of the rodeo, is definitely not all flash and glamour. These competitors go all out as they race the clock in an event that is often won or lost by a split second. The grace and skill of each cowgirl and her horse provide the rodeo fans with loads of thrills year after year. |
